Description

Paper and pizza / Ink and drink: Considering an MA in Early Modern Studies?

This taster session is designed to give you an insight into what it is like to study on UCL’s MA in Early Modern Studies.

The workshop will allow you the chance to see and handle some examples of early modern books and try penning your own manuscript ‘treasure’ with ink and quill.

Then there’ll be some pizza and drinks, and a chance to chat to our Early Modern tutors about studying the Renaissance and working with interdisciplinary ideas and archival material at UCL. The event is free but registration is required.

The MA in Early Modern Studies

With the MA in Early Modern Studies you can tailor a programme to suit your interests.

Teaching is very hands-on, with a combination of lively tutorials, workshops, discussions and library, archive, museum and gallery visits. For more information on the degree, including entry requirements and how to apply, see the online prospectus.

Early Modern Exchanges (EME)

The Centre is dedicated to the study of the diverse cultural, economic and social exchanges between early modern states in the Old World and beyond in the period 1450-1800. Our work focuses on how complex intercultural interactions from translation to trade began to create borders and frontiers between countries, vernacular literatures and identities in this period.
